Furniture Delivery Driver
Role Overview
Location: Burgess Hill, West Sussex
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 40 hours/5 days per week, Monday – Friday (08:30-17:00)
Salary: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, staff discount and attendance bonus
Reporting to: Operations Manager
We are currently recruiting for a Furniture Delivery Driver based from our Head Office. This role is very different from most delivery driver roles - we don't set unrealistic multi drop targets and we encourage you to spend time with customers providing a proper level of service. We also schedule realistic diaries so that you can get to all the jobs planned. Most of your day will be spent delivering larger motorised products direct to our customers. These will include mobility scooters, powered wheelchairs, riser recliner armchairs and electric beds. You will need to set up the product for the customer and spend some time giving them a full handover and making sure they understand how to use it. You will also visit our stores and deliver replenishment stock when not delivering to customers.
Key responsibilities
- Delivery of stock items from our central warehouse to company showrooms
- Delivering larger items to customer's homes
- Demonstration and set up of equipment in customer's homes
- Managing return of damaged items
- Picking for store replenishment
- Ad hoc engineering support
