Who is eligible?

The Scheme is available to anyone who receives one of these qualifying allowances:
• Higher rate mobility part of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
• Higher rate mobility part of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
• Enhanced rate mobility part of Adult Disability Payment
• Higher rate mobility component of Child Disability Payment
• War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
• Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

How it works

Costing

The cost will depend on which scooter or powered wheelchair you choose. In most cases you will end up paying less than your mobility allowance. If all of your mobility allowance is not used, the remainder will be paid to you in the usual way.
