Bathroom Adaptations

For those who are struggling with using their current bathroom and shower setup, we offer a complete Bathroom Adaptation solution.

For a number of people the purchase of a bath lift or installation of bath seat is not enough to allow them complete independence in the bathroom. For these situations, the ideal solution is to adapt your bathroom so you can wash comfortably and safely.

Similar to other mobility solutions and adaptations, no one wet room design fits every home and every user, that is why it is important to make sure you get the right solution for your home and your needs. Our dedicated Home Adaptations Team are on hand to provide you with a free home survey and help advise you on the best solution for your needs and your budget.

Solutions for Every Bathroom

At Clearwell, our Bathroom Adaptations team are trained to find solutions for every bathroom to help you retain your independence. We have solutions available for even the most compact bathroom and our specially trained engineers and plumbers are dedicated to offer the best and most cost effective solution for your needs.

Our most common bathroom solution is a level access shower installation which allows for easy access to all areas of the bathroom.

A level access shower conversion removes your bath and any other lips or trays and replaces it with a level floor with integrated drainage. Not only does this make access on foot or in a wheelchair a lot easier, it also removes the worry of splashes in the bathroom.

We offer a full compliment of accessories and mobility aids to make your bathroom ideal for your needs:

  • ✓ Bi-folding Doors
  • ✓ Privacy Curtain
  • ✓ Shower Seats
  • ✓ Grab Rails
  • ✓ Toilet Frames
  • ✓ Safety Mats

Feel free to discuss all of your requirements at the time of the initial survey and our surveyor will be able to advise as to the best solution for your needs.

Our main task is to diagnose what your needs and requirements from a bathroom are and to do this accurately and carefully. Our team are on hand to advise rather than sell and will only offer the best advice for your needs and budget.

We provide a complete turn key solution with a team of tradesmen for your entire installation and will take control of all organisation and logistics related to the project.

Your own dedicated Project Manager will be with you from the start of the project all the way through to the finished installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the process take?
From the point of placing your order to works starting can take up to 6 weeks. Installation and works themselves generally less than 2 weeks, but this depends greatly on the amount of work required. We will always try to minimise the disruption to you and your home and keep you with working facilities when not on site.

How much do wet room adaptations cost?
Prices for level access showers normal start from £5,000. VAT exemption is available and further details on this can be provided by your surveyor. We normally ask for 25% deposit with a further 50% once we start on site and the remaining 25% due once you are happy with your new bathroom.

Can I apply for finance for my new wet room?
Yes. At Clearwell we offer a range of finance packages to help spread the cost of your new bathroom. Speak to our Adaptations Team about finance during the initial quotation and they will be able to explain the whole process to you.

I only have one toilet in my house, can I still use it whilst the work is in progress?
Yes, we are used to working in properties with a single toilet and understand that you will still need to use the facilities during the works. We will only need to remove the toilet when we are laying new floor coverings and it will only be out of use for approximately 1 hour. We will make sure you are fully aware of this before the work starts, so you have sufficient time to prepare.

Can a friend or family member accompany me when you visit my property?
Of course. We prefer all parties involved in the works to be available when we visit so that we can answer any questions and make everybody feel comfortable with the work which will be taking place.

Will you remove all rubbish from my property and protect my carpets during the work?
Yes, we understand that we are working in your home and so we make sure that all furnishings in the rooms we are working in or passing through are protected at all times. We will also remove all rubbish, existing bathroom items and cardboard boxes as we work so as to keep disruption to a minimum.
