At Clearwell Mobility, we strongly believe in giving back to the community. We work closely with a number of local and national charities that provide invaluable support to people and the environment.
We support our chosen charities throughout the year in a variety of ways, from bake sales and dress-up days to fundraising events and plastic bag sales.

Our Chosen Charities
Gardening for Disabled Trust
As part of Clearwell’s ‘Green for 2019’ initiative, we introduced a 5p charge for single-use plastic bags, reducing usage by approximately 83%. All proceeds are donated to the Gardening for Disabled Trust.
The trust provides grants for garden adaptations, helping people with disabilities enjoy their gardens again.
Bone Cancer Research Trust
Since 2016, Clearwell Mobility has collected used postage stamps for donation to the Bone Cancer Research Trust, helping fund vital research through global stamp collectors.
Dementia Friendly
In 2018, all Showroom Managers and Senior Managers completed Dementia Friends training, ensuring our teams are confident in supporting customers living with dementia.
Motability Scheme
Clearwell Mobility is the largest Motability stockist in the South East. The Motability Scheme, funded and run by the Motability Foundation (299745), helps disabled people access transport and supports greater accessibility.
Eligible customers can use their mobility allowance to lease a brand-new powered wheelchair or scooter through the Scheme. Find out more

Our Chosen Charities
Gardening For Disabled Trust
In line with Clearwell's 'Green for 2019' initiative we started charging 5p for our single use plastic bags on 1st June 2019. With an estimated 22,000 bags used each year, we set out to cut this amount in half. Since introducing this charge however, we have cut our plastic bag usage by approximately 83% and all proceeds from the bag sales are being donated to the Gardening for Disabled Trust. The trust, based in Tunbridge Wells, provide grants for garden adaptations to allow those with a disability the chance to get back out into their gardens.
Bone Cancer Research Trust
Since 2016, Clearwell have been collecting used postage stamps for donation to the Bone Cancer Research Trust. These stamps are then repackaged and sold in batches to stamp collectors across the world. While the use of postage stamps is in decline we are still able to regularly donate thousands of stamps as word spreads that Clearwell showrooms collect them for charity.
Dementia Friendly
Due to the nature of our business we come in to contact frequently with customers living with dementia. It was decided in 2018 that all Showroom Managers and Senior Managers undertake training to become Dementia Friends. This means that our showroom teams are trained in speaking and dealing with customers who have many forms of dementia and helping them have a pleasant experience in our showrooms
