Weighing only 42lbs (19kg), the new i-Ride is one of the lightest portable scooters on the market today. Because of its lightweight design, it folds down and can be easily folded for storage or to load in to the car boot, making it the perfect companion when travelling. The i-Ride uses a lithium battery and has a range of up to 10 miles on a single charge making it perfect for everyday usage. The i-Ride is available in a choice of 5 different colours, and has a maximum user weight limit of 18st (114kg) making it the ideal choice for a wide range of users.
The i-Ride is very different to most mobility scooters in that it has a manual brake. This means that you will need to apply the brake similar to a bicycle brake. This has the benefit that you can coast with the scooter running on which saves battery capacity but also does require good reaction speeds and awareness of the need to apply the brakes. We would highly recommend you trial the scooter at your local showroom or arrange a free home test drive before making your purchase decision.
