Field Engineer - Surrey

Location: Staines, Surrey
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 40 hours/5 days per week, Monday – Friday (Emergency out of hours cover on a rota basis)
Salary: A competitive hourly rate dependent on experience, plus out of hours bonus pay, pension, company van
Reporting to: Engineering Coordinator
Other: A basic DBS check and full driving licence are required

Main Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and repairing mobility equipment including scooters, wheelchairs, powerchairs, motorised armchairs, motorised beds, hoists and bath lifts
  • Undertaking servicing of equipment to manufacturer’s guidelines including stairlifts
  • Liaising with manufacturers to identify and source parts needed
  • Discussing equipment problems with customers and providing assistance over the phone for simpler problems
  • Unpacking, assembling and testing new equipment
  • Delivering and installing products in customer’s homes including product demonstrations and guidance on safe use of the equipment
  • Installing stairlifts and other home adaptations
  • Maintaining detailed job related paperwork
